The Role of the Head Coach

Being the Head Coach of a High School Football team is not a job, it is a life calling and must be lived 24 hours a day. My job as the Head Coach is to ensure players and coaches have what they need to develop into the best possible version of themselves.


  • Build Relationships with Student Athletes

    • Our Mission is to develop our student athletes into the best versions of themselves

    • Developing young adults does not happen without relationships built from love

    • It is our job to love them enough to hold them accountable.

  • Recruit and Develop Assistant Coaches

    • Find the best people possible to connect with our student athletes

    • Give Coaches the tools to grow personally and professionally by using their talents

    • Create shared vision that allows all stake holders to be pulling in the same direction

    • Handle the logistics to allow our coaches to coach and our players to play

  • Create A Positive Culture to Enhance Player Development

    • Establish Vertical Families to create a team with personal bonds across grade levels

    • Develop Servant Leadership to include all members of our team

    • Create a staff atmosphere that connects families

  • Build Community Energy, Buy in and Support

    • Family Atmosphere for Player and Staff Families

    • Open Door Policy for Player’s Families

    • Use Social Media to Sell Our Program

    • Sustain Relationships from Elementary to Middle School

Above anything else my job as the Head Football Coach for North Central High School is to care for and develop the student athletes and adults under my leadership. This is a role goes far beyond a job and is a mission that takes priority 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the rest of my life.
