Strength and Conditioning

Objective: To prepare our student athletes mentally and physically to perform at their highest level

    • The strength of our program will be the strength of our program

    • Our Student Athletes will learn to overcome adversity in the weight room

    • We will train the mind as much as the body

    • Strength and Conditioning Class-Water the Bamboo

    • Work with Strength and Coniditioning Coach to Ensure Peak Performance

    • Put student athletes in adverse situations

      • Work to get all football players in same weight period

    • All Football players will be encouraged to play a second sport

      • If not in a second sport they will be at workouts

      • 45 min. Two Times a week

      • 15 min. Family Development

Nutrition

Objective: We will maximize the gains in the weight room by ensuring our student athletes have the necessary fuel to capitalize on their hard work.

  • The two areas where student athletes struggle are nutrition and sleep

  • This struggle has negative effects on:

    • Academics

    • Athletics

    • Family and Social Relationships

  • We will provide training in proper nutrition and sleep patterns

    • Provide Meals before and after off-season workout sessions

    • In Season meals before practice

Sports Psychology

Objective: Give our student-athletes the tools and ability to control their mental state.

  • The Mind is to Body as Three is to One

  • Very few athletes are aware of the power of mindset

  • We will develop Mental Skills for use in:

    • Academics

    • Athletics

    • Workplace

  • Areas Covered

    • Creating Optimal Performance Zone

    • Effect of Neurological Patterning

    • Positive Self Talk

    • Interrupting Negative Spirals

    • The Effect of Body Language

Elementary Field Days

Objective: Increase Youth involvement in the football program while developing servant leaders and community buy in.

  • Work with Elementary Schools Liaisons to pick the ideal day

  • Seniors to be (current Juniors) work at their old schools

  • Overseen by Coaches

  • Handout flyers for Youth Camp and Youth League

  • Football related awards

    • Shirts

    • Helmets
